I was given the opportunity to try good2grow juices through the Moms Meet Blogger Program, and I was quite excited.
Aren't they seriously cool? The fun characters are the signature SippaTop™ caps, spillproof and reusable. Or so it says. So I put them to the real test: my two and five year olds. If a mess can be made, they will make it. It's also 100% juice, which makes me very happy.
My son was wary at first, even though it was one of his favorite characters, Woody from Toy Story.
But he soon found that the inside was as awesome as the outside.
The flavors are VERY good, by the way. We tried Apple, Fruit Punch and
Strawberry Kiwi. They're sold in three different sizes (4 oz., 6 oz., and 8 oz.), so you can even get age-appropriate sizes. For a point of reference, pictured are the 6 oz size. The refill bottles have a nice tight foil seal instead of a cap, so there's less waste. They're even shelf-stable, though they are better cold.
Strawberry Kiwi is particularly addicting and YUM. I found
myself drinking several. For research purposes, of course *wink*.And a plus: It's one of the V-Blend varieties, which means it has one combined serving of fruits and vegetables, which provides your kids with 100% of their daily vitamin C intake. Nice, eh?
But ARE they spillproof? Well, here's the evidence.
This is my little ones, in a pile of very hard to clean pillows and soft toys. So either I'm a glutton for punishment or they really are spillproof. I'm happy to tell you, it's the latter. If that doesn't convince you, check this out:
Yes, that bottle is fully loaded and upside-down, and not a single drip or drop. That's MY princess topper...only fair that Mom gets one.
They're perfect for the car. It easy to swap or refill, even on the move. It's perfect for moments like this, where we're waiting in the car for one thing or another.
It even fits nicely in the cupholder of my son's booster.
Is your green alarm going off at the thought of all the plastic bottles? Relax. They're BPA-free, non-GMO, recyclable, dishwasher safe, and reusable. I did the dishwasher test myself, and they came out just fine. I recommend top rack only, though. The labels didn't even fade. The tops go through fine as well.
One thing I did notice: when you put on the tops, you just need a gentle twist and it's locked. If you yank on it too much, thinking it can't be on tight, it'll pop back off. Twist it on and trust the seal. It's really there.
The cost is pretty reasonable, too, considering it's wholly reusable. The retail price for a single serve is $2.49 to $2.99. Refill packs range from $2.99 to $3.49. You can find them at Kroger, Safeway, H-E-B, BI-LO, Ingles, Meijer, Piggly Wiggly, Wakefern, Food Lion, Hannaford, Raleys, Babies “R” Us, Walmart, Toys “R” Us, Kmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, RaceTrac, Kwik Trip, 7-11, Sheetz, QT, BP, Cumberland Farms, Wawa, Circle K, and Kangaroo Express. I personally found both the single serve and refills at Safeway, and the single serve everywhere.
It's not just awesome juice, though. There are some great events going on their social media. Check out the StoryStitcher at good2grow.com/storystitcher and enter to win a $5000 scholarship and free coupons. It's a fun game to play with the kids. You film scenes using the juice characters, and StoryStitcher fuses them together. I'm thinking of trying it myself.
You can also can enter to win a themed birthday party by going to win.good2grow.com/mmblogger. Each person that enters will receive a free refill pack with a purchase of single serve beverage. That is a very nice deal.

ReplyDeleteWe bought 2 of these last week and another 2 today. I didn't even know there were refill packs, that excites me! We have been washing and using our own juice afterward, I love that they really are spillproof. Even my 5 year old noticed that, he held it upside down "Look mommy, it doesn't come out!" LOL
ReplyDeleteI know...i was surprised at how well they work. Reusing is a great option, too, and they're fully recyclable.
