I received a box of Sweet N'Low and an assortment of drink recipes. I decided to do these four:
First, the Super Skinny Margarita.
Let me tell you, it takes quite a bit of squeezing to get that much lime juice. See?
But it's worth it to have THIS as an end result.
How'd it taste? Like a margarita, only skinnier. I enjoyed it, but this was the least favorite of the drinks, according to my guests.
Next, the Sunny Citrus Soda.
This was the hands-down favorite of the group, even with the kids.
Next, the one I was the most intrigued by: Skinny Sangria Blanca!
This was more chopping than juicing, but still a bit of work.
I used a Pinot Grigio for my version:
Impressions of this one was mixed. Most felt it was okay, but that the lemon was dominating. The longer the raspberries were in it, however, the better it was. There were a couple of people who really liked it.
Last, but never least, the Strawberry Granita Freeze! This was a blender drink using frozen fruit, so it didn't need any time in the freezer, unlike most granitas.
And....The result!
This one was very popular. The kids in particular liked the slushy format and fresh strawberry taste. Some did feel that it was a bit tart, and that the lime was obtrusive.
This was a very fun challenge, and tasty as well. I feel the need to experiment further.
I received product from Crowdtap for testing and review purposes. My opinions are my own.
